These terms are the agreement between you and Portio ("we", "us"), the publisher of the Portio app and the website portio.money, based in Morocco. By creating an account or using Portio you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Portio.
1. What Portio is
Portio is a personal budgeting planner. You enter your income, bills, debts and the way you want to split what is left; Portio does the arithmetic and keeps a checklist of what you have moved.
Portio is a planning tool, not financial advice. It is not a bank, a lender, a broker or an adviser. It does not hold, move, lend or invest money, and it does not connect to your bank. Every figure comes from what you type, so check it before you rely on it. Nothing in the app is financial, tax, legal or religious advice. Decisions about your money are yours.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address that you control, and keep your password and your devices secure.
- An account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under it.
- Tell us at support@portio.money if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. Your data
What you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Portio to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you enter other people's names, for example for a debt, you are responsible for having the right to do so.
5. Free plan and Premium
- Free: the whole app, with one income entry per month.
- Premium: more than one income entry per month.
- Trial: every new account has Premium for 7 days. No payment details are asked for, and nothing is charged when it ends: the account simply goes back to the free plan.
When Premium ends, nothing you entered is deleted or hidden. Only adding a second income to a month is blocked.
Premium may be given with a promo code. A code has no cash value, can be used once, and may be withdrawn if it was obtained or used unfairly.
6. Paid subscriptions
If you buy Premium as a subscription in the app:
- The price and the billing period are shown before you confirm.
- Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through your store account, not by us.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown, until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
- You manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Portio account does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw or to a refund, that right is not affected.
- If we change a price, the store will tell you beforehand and you can cancel before it applies.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Portio to break the law, try to get into other people's accounts or our systems, overload or disrupt the service, copy or resell it, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
8. Our content
The app, its design, its name and its logo belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Portio on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
9. Changes and availability
We work to keep Portio running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If a change to these terms is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Portio after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first.
11. Disclaimer and limit of liability
Portio is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or data, or for decisions you make using figures from the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
12. App Store and Google Play
If you got Portio from the Apple App Store, this also applies: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund what you paid for the app, if anything; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow the store's own terms of service.
If you got Portio from Google Play, your use of the store is also governed by Google Play's terms of service.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
