Delete your Portio account

Portio, the personal budgeting app

You can delete your Portio account and all the data in it at any time. There are three ways; pick whichever is easiest.

In the app

1. Open Portio and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Your data and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

On the website, without the app

1. Go to portio.money/dashboard and sign in.
2. Open Settings, scroll to Your data and choose Delete account.
3. Confirm.

By email

If you cannot sign in, write to support@portio.money from the email address of your account with the subject "Delete my Portio account". We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, name, profile picture address, and password hash.
• Your profile: name, language and currency.
• All your budget data: incomes, bills, split, debts and loans (including the names of the people in them), payments, notes and the monthly checklist.
• Your membership status and every signed-in session on every device.

This is permanent. We cannot bring an account back after it is deleted.

What is kept

• The fact that a promo code was used, with no email, name or budget data attached, so the code cannot be used again.
• Copies in our hosting providers' backups or logs, which are deleted on their normal schedule, within 30 days.
• Purchases you made through the App Store or Google Play stay in your store account, under Apple's or Google's policies.

Delete your data but keep the account

To erase your incomes, debts and records while keeping your account, go to Settings → Your data → Reset everything.
